Trip Summary

The months of August through to October are a great time to travel to South Africa because its spring!

This two week safari is a fantastic mix of South African attractions and highlights  including several game drives, time in the beautiful Cape Town and historic Pretoria,  artistic towns, spectacular scenery including canyons and mountaintop plus a spot of wine tasting – there is something for everyone in this diverse and exciting safari.

Including the world famous Kruger National Park which gives us the opportunity to spot the famous BIG FIVE; African Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Cape buffalo and the endangered rhinoceros.  The beautiful valleys and mountains are an ideal verdant backdrop to dramatic displays of fynbos (shrublike plants) in flower.  Inland and around Kruger National Park during this time the foliage is less dense making it the best months for sighting big game and wildlife.  The Southern Right whales migrate to the South Africa’s southern coast during July to November providing the best land based whale-watching in the world.
